Of Not Caring That I Haven't Posted in 3 Months!

I am just going to ignore the glaring dates. I am going to pretend that I have already recorded Thanksgiving (hahaha....what an adventure that was!), Christmas, and New Years and that it is just now time to record this week's happenings.

We have had one of those very nice weeks. One of those weeks where the kids are happy to play with their toys and busily enter into a world of imagination and kindly interact with each other (for the most part anyway). Which is why I must *MUST* record this week - because I know that such will not always be the case.

Twice this week, I haven't even bothered to pull the kids out of their imaginary worlds filled with Legos, castles, trains, baby care, or their own version of Hell's Kitchen for school. They were so immersed that I figured there was nothing I could possibly teach them than what they were better learning on their own at that moment.....

Wendy (from Peter Pan) prepares a meal for Snow White and a Roman soldier...
Bet you didn't know that Roman soldiers also had a fearsome weapon - the popping cork gun. I tell you....it's what led to the collapse of many a civilization.

I love the amount of concentration involved in all this play!

We did do some school the last couple of weeks. We have been studying elephants and made our own biscuit elephants for snack one day.....
BIG HIT!!

My littlest man is leaving infanthood behind at a breakneck speed. It breaks my heart. I love each new phase, but how is he 9 months old and 27 lbs already?! But oh, how I love his precocious personality!

EVERY time I take a picture of him....this is what he does for me:

Do you know how many times I kiss those cheeks? They just call to me.
